What are your plans for Easter this year?

This rather normal question seems somehow out of place this year where our lives have been turned upside down due to Covid-19 outbreak and the resulting restrictions and social distancing measures.

Therefore, I think this is even more important to do something special, to celebrate, and to make sure that these few days take us out of our daily routine. Is it just me or do you also experience that the days started to sort of resemble each other?

Spring seems to be out in full force (at least here in Brussels) and this is a special time of the year, the change of season that prompts us to leave behind what doesn’t serve us any longer in order to be ready for the new beginning. You know – first, you need to empty the container before having space to put something new in..... What is it that you need to let go of now? And take some time to reflect on what it is that you need more of these days.

As this situation forces us to draw inwards more, take this as an opportunity to learn something about yourself and to grow.

This is also an opportunity to connect with your family (parents, siblings, etc.) even if you would normally not spend this holiday together. How about a virtual chat around the table as you sit down to celebrate Easter brunch?

And let's not forget about the importance of food. This is a perfect opportunity to honor your family traditions and recreate the meals that you would normally enjoy. Or, maybe invent new special treats that allow you to enjoy great food while also being mindful or how much sugar and starch (white flour, etc.) we consume. I would love to hear from you on how you are going to celebrate this year and what you are preparing food wise.

Happy Easter everybody!
